About Us

Sherwood Community Centre has been a hub for leisure, education, cultural activities, health and well-being for over 70 years! 

The Centre first opened its doors in 1949 and users and groups continue to come daily. We welcome all members of our diverse local public, from babies to the elderly, and also host small businesses and charitable organisations in the premises. At times up to 35 user groups have been running their activities in the building and on the surrounding land, and the Community Centre hosts community events too. We are busy, welcoming and our very existence is to benefit to the local population.

Those interested in hiring our rooms, for parties or groups, are welcome to contact us. New individual members are invited to join, or you can simply come along to one of the varied activities running daily here or for a pop in to the on-site cafe. We look forward to seeing you here soon!
